Sorry that I got my thumb in the way a couple times. It’s a tough balance getting great footage and still getting hype. I’d say I did pretty good overall. But that’s why I put my phone away for Bald. Hell yea Peggy!!!!!!!!!!

You sir are a gentleman, and a scholar. Thank you!
This all definitely makes so much sense in today's world
showed us both ways in under a minute. super helpful vid!!
My Sony PS 212 A from 1980 doesn't have those screws on the bottom, it is playing a bit slow, now what? Thanks
Your 44 year old turntable likely has a 44 year old belt! Google the model of your turntable along with the keywords “replacement belt” and buy a new one. Let me know how that works!
@@Ryanbrio My turntable is direct drive, no belt, I saw a video from somebody with a different Sony model and he took out the bottom cover and he found two white plastic screws, one to adjust 45 rpm and one for 33 rpm, maybe If I do the same I could be lucky and find the same screws on my model, but I hope it wouldn't be difficult to do since it was never opened.
@@OZZY60S yeah, not too sure about the DD stuff, if that guy had a similar model to yours from the same era then yours should have something like that too. Let me know what happens
Mine just arrived 33 was set to 45+ and 45 was set to 55+ speeds, I immediately stopped playing after a few seconds when I noticed something was wrong! Thank you sony for CALIBRATING your product to typical SONY standards… and a huge legitimate thank you for this video!
ive been looking for this for a week omg
Legendary vid
Mythical vid
Interesting. Is this an automatic return turntable or fully automatic? Cause I notice that with my GEMINI D.J.Q 1100 semi auto return tends to do some wonky thing where the moment I start playing a record it just auto returns on itself and shuts off.
Mine is auto-return. Also, this turntable will do the same thing as you described, it auto-returns in the middle of the record. This usually happens when I walk around the room. So, I tested it out and stomped my feet on the floor right beside the table where my player sits. Sure enough, it would stop itself over and over again. I guess it's detecting movement?
My advice would be to open the player up from the bottom and remove the auto return altogether, if you have the know how. Or maybe that's my next video lol
🤍🫧
Thank you!
THANK YOU SO MUCH genuinely 🫶🫶🫶
Thank you for this simple and quick video adjusted everything in 2 min and sounds good as new. Also end of video made me laugh so hard!
Spoon works lil better but wtf.
Haha alright fair
I have to keep doing it over and over again.
The platter stopped spinning after I have tried reducing the speed. Any idea of what might be cause?
The belt came off most likely. Take the top off and check
@@Ryanbrio I have checked it already and belt looks fine :/
Your old ass vid helped me out. The hardest part was trying to get the speed just right before my free trial on the RPM app went out.
To be honest man I have the free trial and I whip that app out any time I find a turntable in a thrift store or wherever, and it’s never run out
Just tap tempo a song from Spotify then compare to the turntable. It's what I'm doing at the moment. Noticed this metal album was sounding chipmunky lmao
Thanks so much. This really helped me out with my LX310BT. I had already replaced my belt (also something to consider when your player is running fast, by the way), without improvement. A few tips for people doing this. Make sure you've disconnected your player from a power source before you insert a screw driver. Secondly, get a teeny tiny flathead screwdriver because you're not turning the black rubber ring, but a little screw beyond it (you'll feel it, when you adjust it). Last, this is precision work. Unless your player is running extremely fast or slow, you'll only be making very, very slight adjustments (just inserting the screwdriver in the screw can be the difference between 33.0 and 33.2, etc). My player is now running 33.31 as opposed to the 33.96 before. Good luck!
Which way do I turn the screwdriver to make it go slower? Clockwise or anti clockwise? And also what kind/size of screwdriver did you use?
.)
My turn table will speed up after about 5 mins of playing. Is there a way to fix that?
That's a motor issue. Bring it to a tech
What about the switch
Just pull it man. Same way. Strat or tele. Yank it off, you don’t need tools just pull it
Thanks so much dawg. After a lot of trial and error I FINALLY got the screw to spin. First it went to 30rpm then 32.87 and i settled on that since it was down from 34.3rpm. Thank you so much
You could probably get it right on par if you kept trying! With that said 0.5 rpm off is no big deal
I love your voice bro
Finally! Our turntable is fixed! Thank you soooo much!
Huh, check out his bow hold, wonder why he does that
I think it’s cause he’s standing. Whenever he’s sitting with the cello he looks to be holding it the standard way. ✌️
Thank you! I was so looking forward to play my records that I bought long before getting a tunrtable and when I finally got it, I was so frustrated with the songs playing too fast. This saved me, thanks again!
this is beautiful
Man I wish these videos were available to watch somewhere in full :)
Clever guy and he's spot on.
As old as this video is…I am in desperate need of some help. I believe I have the newer version of this turntable, with Bluetooth, but am still faced with the problem of my vinyls playing too fast. I came to this video for help but after trying for over 2 hours now, there has still been zero change in the speed. I am unsure what I am doing wrong, please help.
Does it have the holes on the bottom like the one in my video? What’s the model number?
Thanks! Love the quick and easy video. Appreciate it.
Thank you!
Thanks man!
DUDE thank you so much!! My player has been very subtly too fast for YEARS. I had no idea this could be a problem so I just kinda gaslit myself into thinking I was just making things up😅
I respect you, I respect your content, Thanks for the video, your phone sucks, I have no respect for it, Thank you so much for the help man!
Ha ha
Urgent appetite indeed!
I was looking for that video where manson called this guy on the phone asking him 0n the diss. He didnt answer😂😂😂😂😂
Alt-j wishes
Can this be done on a Sony PS-X700/800?
Not sure, if it has the holes in the bottom marked “33” and “45” then yes, but it’s a motor thing on these ones. On some higher end models, playing at the wrong speed either means faulty mechanics with the fine adjuster or time to replace the belt.
Perhaps he was trying to 'light the fire' so to speak. the 90's kinda fizzled out towards the end.
THANK YOU 😊😊
Let’s goo 0:07
I love Arthur Russell, there is just something very raw and vulnerable about him and his art.
i've been having this issue with my PS-LX310BT for months now and didn't think there was a solution until i found this!! just tried it, it took a couple of tries but i finally fixed it, THANK YOU SO MUCH
I've been sticking a screwdriver in there and turning and nothings changing. What did you feel/notice when it eventually worked

Thanks a lot !!!!
Is this video where the thinking emoji started? 🤔
IMPORTANT NOTE - you are NOT turning the rubber above it. you need a long tiny screwdriver. you push it further down into the hole until you feel something solid moving. i made this mistake and got worried i screwed up
I wish there was a full acoustic version of soon to be innocent fun
